Under the project leadership of the Institute for General Practice and Interprofessional Care at Tübingen University Hospital, the observational study on polymyalgia rheumatica (acronym: BEBOP PMR/ DRKS00032715) will commence on 13 November 2023. This is the first of three retrospective observational studies. As part of the study, in collaboration with the participating GP research practices and other GP research practices,PLUS to test the feasibility of the IT research infrastructure and to collect and analyse data relevant to general practice care. This study has the potential to provide a basis for future studies and research questions relating to polymyalgia rheumatica. In addition to the study on polymyalgia rheumatica, two further observational studies – one on depression (led by Freiburg) and one on heart failure (led by Heidelberg) – will be carried out within FoPraNet-BW in 2024.
